
Bo Nilsson
Bo Nilsson is the Chief Executive Officer at Bamboh Invest.
At Bamboh, Bo is responsible for guiding portfolio strategy and transformation, hiring and coaching their CXOs, and leading our firm’s strategic direction.
Bo was CEO of Nets A/S at the time of the 2014 buyout for c.$3bn by Bain and Advent, and led an ambitious multi-year transformation program. Under Bo’s leadership, Nets transformed from a payments “back office” to a modern and growing fintech, leading to a successful $5bn IPO in 2016. Subsequently, Bo led the de-listing of Nets in 2018, led by Hellman and Friedman and the split, with the two parts selling for $12bn aggregate EV to CFO trade buyers MasterCard (2020) and Nexi Group (2021). Following the merger with the Nexi Group, Bo served as Chair of Nets A/S and member of the Strategic Committee and Board of Nexi group from 2021 to 2024.
Prior to Nets, Bo was Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co in London and New York, and CFO and Director of Grupo Media Capital in Lisbon. In 2006, Bo founded the multinational book publishing company Grupo LeYa, where he acted as Director until 2013.
Bo holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and is a graduate of the JPMorgan Chase & Co MBA Corporate Finance Program
