
Prateek Trehan
Prateek Singh Trehan is the Chief Investment Officer at Bamboh Invest.
At Bamboh, Prateek is responsible for sourcing and executing new deals, guiding portfolio companies on FP&A, M&A, strategic positioning, and operational growth.
Prateek has worked in the technology industry for over two decades, across the UK, Europe, the US, India, and Hong Kong, holding both executive and advisory roles. His expertise spans IPO, M&A, and private fundraising for early-stage, growth, and mature technology companies in the Fintech, Software, and Internet sectors.
He worked at J.P.Morgan for approximately 15 years (2006-2021), serving in his final role as Head of Payments and Enterprise Software Investment Banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa. During this tenure, he led multiple US$1.0bn+ transformational transactions for Technology companies. Over seven years, Prateek collaborated with Bo on several key projects for Nets A/S, including
- Advent International, ATP and Bain Capital Private Equity investment (2014)
- IPO of Nets A/S (2016)
- Take-private of Nets A/S with Hellman & Friedman (2018)
- Merger of Nets A/S with Nexi S.p.A (2021)
In 2022-23, Prateek served as Deputy Group CFO of a high-growth, private equity owned fintech (500+ employees globally) – Banking Circle Group. Earlier in his career, he worked as software engineer with Infosys Technologies at their HQ in Bangalore (2002-2004).
Prateek holds Master’s degree in Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a Graduate degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India.
